Bochi Privacy Policy

Bochi is a personal productivity app for tracking tasks, recurring tasks, rewards, timers, tags, reminders, and point activity. This policy explains where that information is stored and the choices available to you.

Current versions

• Bochi does not require or create a Bochi account.
• Your app content is stored on your device.
• If iCloud is available, Bochi uses Apple CloudKit to keep a private copy in your iCloud account and sync it between your devices.
• Bochi does not sell your personal information, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information you create

App content can include task and reward names and descriptions, recurring schedules, timers and intervals, tags, dependencies, reminders, theme choices, point activity, and derived balances. Some fields are free-form, so information you type into them is stored as part of your app content.

List and detail-view display preferences stay on each device. Notification permission is managed by iOS. Bochi stores reminder schedules with your app content and uses them to schedule local notifications.

iCloud sync

Synced app content is stored in the private CloudKit database of the Apple ID signed in to iCloud on your device. Apple processes that data under its terms and privacy policy. If you sign out of iCloud, Bochi continues using the last downloaded dataset on that device. A different iCloud account has a separate dataset.

Bochi keeps deletion records in CloudKit so a deletion wins over an edit made on another offline device. These records remain part of the private synced dataset until you use Delete All Data.

Premium purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and payment information. Bochi reads the App Store entitlement status needed to unlock premium features on your devices. Bochi does not receive your payment card details and does not link purchases to a Bochi account.

Diagnostics and support

Bochi uses Sentry for crash reports, errors, and limited technical diagnostic logs to help identify and fix reliability and iCloud sync problems. These diagnostics may include app and operating-system versions, device model, timestamps, stack traces, error types and codes, operation names, and aggregate record counts. Sentry may receive technical network information, such as an IP address, when receiving these events.

Bochi does not intentionally include task or reward text, email addresses, or Bochi account identifiers in these diagnostics. Performance tracing, session replay, screenshots, view hierarchy capture, user-interaction tracking, and automatic network capture are disabled. Diagnostics are used for app functionality and are not used for advertising or tracking. Sentry diagnostics operate independently of Apple's Share With App Developers setting.

Apple may provide developers with crash and performance diagnostics according to your device analytics settings. If you contact support, Bochi receives the message and any information you choose to include and uses it to respond to your request.

Older versions

Older Bochi versions used Sign in with Apple and a Bochi-operated backend for account information, synced app content, and premium entitlement records. Those versions may have stored an app-specific Apple identifier, an Apple-provided email address, session tokens, app content, settings, and purchase entitlement information. This legacy service has been shut down. Current versions do not upload app content to that service or import its data. Existing data on your device is migrated locally when upgrading.

Deleting data

Delete All Data in the current app removes the current dataset from the device and deletes Bochi's private CloudKit zone from the signed-in iCloud account. This cannot be undone. It does not delete App Store purchase history or cancel a subscription.

Sharing and processors

Apple provides iCloud, CloudKit, App Store purchases, notifications, and optional diagnostics. Sentry processes the limited diagnostics described above. Hosting providers may process ordinary network information when you view Bochi's website or send a support request. Bochi does not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.

Security

Bochi uses Apple's app sandbox and private CloudKit databases to protect current app content. No storage or internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Your choices

• You choose what content to enter into Bochi.
• You can enable or disable iCloud for Bochi through Apple device settings.
• You can manage notification permission and Apple's optional analytics sharing in device settings. These settings do not control Sentry diagnostics.
• You can use Delete All Data in Bochi Settings.
• You can manage Apple subscriptions through your Apple account.
• You can contact Bochi for support or questions about legacy data.

Children

Bochi is a general-audience productivity app and is not specifically directed to children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use and manage the child's Apple account and purchase settings.

Changes

This policy may change as Bochi, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated for material changes.
